Diseases
Dysphagia, or difficulty swallowing, can be triggered by a variety of conditions. Common causes include stroke, Parkinson's disease, and neurological disorders, which impair the coordination of swallowing muscles. Cancers of the throat and esophagus are also common, causing narrowing of the food passages and difficulty swallowing.
